ArtSpan's Call for Artist Cover Competition

ASTERISK PEOPLE ISSUE

There are countless ways to get your art noticed by prospective art buyers; thru group shows, gallery exhibits, pop-up art venues and the wide world of the interwebs. If people don't see how talented you are, they may never know that you're the next Picasso or Jean-Michel Basquiat. Here's your chance to get noticed in a big way...

ArtSpan & SF Open Studios, San Francisco's 36 year old art organization is holding a call for artists to submit artworks to grace the cover of its annual arts guide for San Francisco Open Studios - The Bay Area's largest open studio event! The guide is a yearly book of San Francisco Artists showcasing their work and talents with four weekends of open studios in the fall, distributed in the Bay Area reaching over 40,000 readers.

With a cash prize of $500 (to use the image for campaigns and magazine cover) unlimited bragging rights, and inclusion in the SF Open Studios exhibition at SOMARTS this year, what more could an emerging artist ask or?

All artists working in the SF Bay area are eligible to join. In possibly every medium (with the exception of video and audio art since you can't put that on the cover.)

The theme of this years guide is "The Art of San Francisco" a theme we all can relate to.

Submission deadline is April 25th!
